Responsibilities

Lead the administration and maintenance of DB2 databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Oversee the implementation and management of Aurora and PostgreSQL databases ensuring data integrity and availability.Provide support for DevSecOps practices integrating security measures into the development and operations processes.Manage AWS RDS instances ensuring they are configured and maintained according to best practices.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement geospatial data solutions that meet business requirements.Conduct performance tuning and optimization of database systems to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.Monitor database systems for potential issues and proactively address them to prevent disruptions.Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations processes and procedures.Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.Participate in the planning and execution of database migrations and upgrades ensuring minimal impact on operations.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data security and privacy.Contribute to the continuous improvement of database management practices and tools.

Qualifications

Possess a strong background in DB2 administration with hands-on experience in system DBA tasks.Demonstrate expertise in managing Aurora and PostgreSQL databases with a focus on performance and reliability.Have a solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices integrating security into the development lifecycle.Show proficiency in managing AWS RDS instances including configuration maintenance and optimization.Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
