Head Project Contracts for Petrochemicals Division, BE/B.Tech (mandatory) + MBA (desirable) with minimum 25 Years experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemicals or Chemicals or Process Industry, location - Mumbai
Job Accountabilities
  1. Work with Internal customers, Construction Managers, Project Managers, and other cross-functional teams to define the scope of work and overall sourcing strategy for the Project Contracts team
  2. Lead activities for sourcing events, contractor identification, techno-commercial negotiations, and key contractor selection
  3. Develop new resourceful contractors in addition to the existing Master supplier list, and identify their capabilities, current commitments, and spare capacity.
  4. Supplier Relationship Management at the highest level with strategic Contractors and institute contractor development processes
  5. Ongoing/timely strategic/tactical decisions to mitigate contractual Performance Risk across projects
  6. Business Risk Management through identification of contracts related risk areas and execution of mitigation plans
  7. Maintain relationships with cross-functional teams and provide real-time visibility/support to the Project Management leadership and Top management.
  8. Achieve Functional Targets/goals as per Annual Operating Plan      
  9. Drive new technological / Automation advancements in work execution techniques.
  10. People Management through the development of competent teams across disciplines, performance tracking on an ongoing basis, and grooming of high-potential team members.
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
  1. Commercial acumen and hands-on experience in managing multiple construction/maintenance contracts preferably for petrochemical plants or refinery
  2. Excellent knowledge of contracting principles, contracting structures, contract obligations and contract administration
  3. Strategic decision-making skills 
  4. Good written and oral communication skills (Negotiation skills)
  5. Ability to adapt future technologies/ Digitization in procurement processes 
Education Required
  1. Necessary B.E / B. Tech
  2. Desired MBA/ Similar professional qualification/ Certification by Procurement Professional bodies
Experience Required
  1. Necessary  25-30 years of experience in managing large/multiple projects in the Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals/Chemicals/ EPC/Projects/Manufacturing sector & operating environment.
  2. Experience in Construction / Operation / Maintenance in Manufacturing sites
