Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Data Migration Specialist with strong expertise in Sage X3, Microsoft SQL Server, and Finance modules etc to support end-to-end data migration activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting, cleansing, transforming, validating, and importing data between Sage X3 and other business systems.

This role requires hands-on experience with complex financial datasets, X3 table structures, SQL queries, data mapping, and migration best practices


Key Responsibilities

1. Data Migration & Integration

  • Perform end-to-end data migration between Sage X3 and external systems.
  • Extract, transform, and load data (ETL) using Microsoft SQL Server and related tools.
  • Understand and map Sage X3 table structures (e.g., BPCUSTOMER, BPADDRESS, SINVOICE, PINVOICE, GACCENTRY, PAYMENTH, etc.).
  • Clean and validate large datasets ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop scripts, stored procedures, and automation for migration tasks.

2. Sage X3 Functional & Technical Expertise

  • Work closely with finance and operations teams to understand data requirements.
  • Handle Master Data: Customers, Suppliers, Products, Chart of Accounts, Taxes.
  • Support transactional data migration: Invoices, Receipts, Journals, Orders, Payments, Ledgers.
  • Ensure data aligns with Sage X3 Financial Module rules (AP, AR, GL).

3. Data Validation & Testing

  • Conduct pre-migration and post-migration validation.
  • Prepare reconciliation reports and audit logs.
  • Troubleshoot data issues, inconsistencies, and validation errors.

4. Documentation & Support

  • Maintain detailed documentation for mappings, scripts, workflows, and migration logs.
  • Provide support to Finance, Operations, and ERP teams during UAT and Go-Live.
  • Train end users on data standards and migration outputs if needed.


Required Skills & Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Sage X3 data migration.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including:
  • SQL queries
  • Stored procedures
  • Views
  • Data cleansing
  • Database management
  • Good understanding of Sage X3 Finance module (AP, AR, GL, Journals, Taxes, Payments).
  • Experience with ETL processes and data transformation logic.
  • Ability to understand complex X3 tables and relationships.
  • Experience with large datasets and financial data accuracy.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.


Preferred / Optional Skills:

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with data migration tools (SSIS, Talend, or custom ETL).
  • Understanding of ERP workflows and accounting processes.
  • Experience with other ERP systems (Zoho, SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of API integrations for Sage X3 (if applicable).
