Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Scrum Master with 1–2 years of hands-on experience to join our team and facilitate the Agile development process for our ongoing project. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum, and proficient in using JIRA for sprint and task management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a servant leader and Scrum facilitator for the development team
  • Organize and lead Daily Stand-up Meetings (DSM)
  • Plan, facilitate, and document Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings
  • Ensure proper story point estimation and assist the team in breaking down and prioritizing tasks
  • Maintain and update JIRA boards, epics, user stories, and sprint backlogs
  • Identify and remove impediments that hinder the team's progress
  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across the team
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and other stakeholders to ensure backlog health and sprint readiness
  • Track team velocity, sprint progress, and create relevant reports/dashboards for stakeholders

Key Skills

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with JIRA for Agile project management
  • Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies effectively
  • Good understanding of story point estimation, sprint planning, and backlog grooming
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) is a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Familiarity with Confluence, Burndown Charts, and Velocity Tracking
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or cross-functional team environment
  • Technical background or experience working with software development teams
