They work to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and data within an organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement the organization's cybersecurity strategy, including policies, procedures, and guidelines for the safe and secure use of information technology.Operational ManagementMonitor and analyze network traffic and security logs to identify potential threats and attacks.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Identify and evaluate new security technologies to enhance the organization's security posture.Investigate security incidents and respond to security breaches, including containment and recovery efforts.Collaborate with other IT teams to implement security measures and provide guidance and training to end users.Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies to ensure the organization is prepared for emerging threats.Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to prioritize security initiatives.Perform security audits to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.Prepare and present security reports to management and other stakeholders.Knowledge and ExperienceUnderstanding of the threat landscape: A cybersecurity analyst should be up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends. This knowledge helps them to identify potential vulnerabilities and prevent cyber-attacks.Network and systems experience: A cybersecurity analyst should have experience in network and systems administration, including knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.Experience with security tools: A cybersecurity analyst should have experience with a range of security tools, including vulnerability scanners, security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, antivirus and antimalware software.Communication and collaboration skills: A cybersecurity analyst should have excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with other team members, stakeholders, and end-users. They should be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.Formal Education & CertificationThe Cybersecurity analyst will have a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity and information assurance and 2-4 years of experience in Cybersecurity profile. Or bachelor’s degree with certification in cyber security.Experience with security tools: A cybersecurity analyst should have experience with a range of security tools, including vulnerability scanners, security information and event management (SIEM) solutions, antivirus and antimalware software, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
