Job Description:


  • Responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization and management of database management systems. Also provides input on direction and standards as it pertains to the above. Perform research on new technologies and market trends. Will likely lead and manage initiatives and the database solutions design for projects
  • Install and Deploy databases
  • Responsible for the management of databases, apply upgrades and patches and migrate to new versions of the DBMS
  • Create and execute Backup and Recovery plans.
  • Interacts with Enterprise Architecture in areas such as capacity planning, data architecture and research of new technologies.
  • Sets departmental standards and guidelines for all DBA services.
  • Involved in the creation of logical and physical data models for new database designResponsible for implementing security plans and enforcing security requirementsBackground from previous steps with more advanced database design, data modeling and project leadership skills.Adhere to SOX and Kelly Services policies as it pertains to data security, access and confidentiality. Also responsible for creating and modifying said policiesKnowledge of Database Management Systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server
  • Knowledge of multiple platforms, and operating systems
  • Understanding of High Availability solutions
  • Understanding of backup and recovery plans and processes
