System Analyst(ESB)

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of ESB solutions. Collaborate with solution architects and developers to design scalable, reliable, and efficient ESB implementations based on industry best practices.
• Oversee the integration of applications, services, and data sources via the ESB, ensuring seamless communication across platforms and applications. Manage the integration with APIs, legacy systems, and cloud-based solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify required system functionalities, provide data on system capabilities, and provide solutions to meet the requirement of business in handling the traffic on the runtime environments
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in service-oriented architecture (SOA) and ESB solutions. Drive the continuous improvement of the ESB platform and contribute to the overall IT strategy.
• Managing the team of ESB to handle the runtime environment based on business and technology strategies of the Bank.
• Assist the line manager in preparing and presenting strategic resource budgets for the Runtime environments.
• Assess the compatibility and integration of products and services proposed to ensure a robust integrated architecture across interdependent applications.
• Guide stakeholders on technical and security guidelines, standards and strategies and establish new processes to improve the process and reduce the cost of operations.
• Formulate and present estimates to the line manager or for staff training in niche application solutions from external vendors.
• Prepare cost analysis for in-house v/s outsourced services for application support and negotiate to contract vendor services, if required, on competitive terms.
• Strong knowledge of ESB components Tools (IBM MQ, IBM APP CONNECT, APIGW, SQL, Kong etc)
• Experience in scripting languages in-order to automate the day-day activities
• Lead and mentor a team of ESB developers and engineers. Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business stakeholders. Provide guidance on complex technical issues and support the growth of team skills.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of ESB systems. Ensure optimal throughput, low latency, and minimal downtime. Implement troubleshooting and debugging practices to resolve integration issues.
• Configure, deploy, and manage ESB platforms (e.g., IBM MQ, IBM APPCONNECT, IBM API CONNECT, etc.). Ensure ESB components are maintained, upgraded, and patched as needed to support the latest technology and security requirements.
• Oversee the security aspects of ESB solutions, ensuring secure message transmission, data protection, and compliance with internal and external regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Ensure proper change management processes are followed for any updates or changes to the ESB architecture. Quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve integration-related incidents and escalated technical issues.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation for ESB configurations, integration patterns, and technical procedures. Provide regular reports on ESB performance, health, and incidents to leadership.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to plan for future growth, ensuring the ESB infrastructure scales to handle increasing business demands while maintaining performance and uptime.
• Work with third-party vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate and select appropriate ESB technologies, tools, and services that meet the organization’s needs.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in service-oriented architecture (SOA) and ESB solutions. Drive the continuous improvement of the ESB platform and contribute to the overall IT strategy.

• B. TECH

Experience

• 2-6 years of proven experience in managing and deploying ESB solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment.

Certifications

• ESB (API CONNECT, APP CONNECT, CP4I)

Functional Skills

• In depth knowledge of API CONNECT, APP CONNECT, CP4I, IIB, CP4I, SQL DataPower +Advantage Kubernetes, Redhat OpenShift etc
