Demand Planning

• Own and run the weekly demand planning cycle while monitoring and improving

forecast accuracy.

• Collaborate with Growth & Category teams to incorporate business drivers into demand

plans.

• Include causal factors (weather, competitor actions, disruptions) and model events

(promotions, marketing, festivals) into forecasts.

• Develop forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation (SKU, category, region, store) and

multiple time horizons.

• Release final demand plans by incorporating all inputs as per agreed timelines.

Supply & Replenishment Planning

• Manage the end-to-end replenishment process, ensuring timely availability across

regions.

• Ensure timely release of purchase orders (POs) to vendors across all cities.

• Optimize buying quantities by balancing demand forecasts, inventory norms, stock on

hand, and vendor constraints.

• Collaborate with category and vendor teams to ensure high OTIF (On-Time In-Full)

supply performance.


Inventory Management

• Define and manage inventory norms at SKU × Region level.

• Monitor inventory health, availability, ageing, and initiate liquidation plans for slow-

moving SKUs.

• Collaborate with City Teams & Operations to ensure stock accuracy.

• Drive strategies to balance availability, minimize wastage, and optimize working

capital.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead the demand planning team, mentoring junior planners on tools, methods, and

best practices.

• Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and replenishment efficiency.

• Lead demand-supply reviews as part of the S&OP process.


Requirements

As a Senior Demand Planner, you will lead the demand forecasting, inventory

management, and replenishment processes for FMCG categories across Apna Mart’s fast-

growing retail network. You will be responsible for building robust forecasting models,

driving the S&OP process, and mentoring junior planners to ensure demand accuracy and

supply reliability across multiple regions.


Qualifications & Skills:

• MBA/B.Tech from Tier-1/Tier-2 institutes.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply

chain roles in FMCG/Retail/Q-Com/E-Com.

• Strong understanding of inventory management practices, demand planning

methodologies, and replenishment systems.

• Excellent analytical skills; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools (Metabase,

Power BI, etc.).

• Strong decision-making, influencing, and negotiation skills with a structured work style.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment
