Role Overview

The Informatica Administrator will be responsible for administering, managing, and supporting Informatica platforms (PowerCenter / BDM / IDQ) within a highly secure on-prem banking environment. The role ensures platform stability, performance optimization, high availability, security compliance, and end-to-end production support while adhering to banking regulatory standards.



Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration & Configuration

  • Install, configure, and upgrade Informatica PowerCenter/BDM/IDQ on Linux servers.
  • Configure repository services, integration services, nodes, grids, clusters, and high availability.
  • Manage domain configuration, scaling nodes, load balancing, and failover.
  • Perform backup/restore of repositories and ensure DR (Disaster Recovery) readiness.

Security & Compliance

  • Manage user accounts, LDAP/SAML integration, and role-based access control.
  • Implement SSL, certificates, encryption, and security hardening.
  • Maintain audit logs and ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian banking regulatory standards.

Performance & Operations

  • Monitor daily ETL/BDM workflows and ensure timely completion.
  • Troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, and resolve platform issues.
  • Conduct session, workflow, and mapping tuning, including pushdown optimization.
  • Support release deployments across Dev → SIT → UAT → PROD environments.

Integration & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Cloudera, Teradata, and Oracle teams for connectivity and data movement.
  • Integrate Informatica with scheduling tools such as Control-M.
  • Support CDC frameworks; exposure to IBM DataStage → BDM migration is an advantage.



Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 6–10+ years of hands-on experience as an Informatica Administrator (PowerCenter/BDM/IDQ).
  • Strong Linux administration and shell scripting expertise.
  • Experience with Teradata/Oracle connectivity, ODBC drivers, and database integrations.
  • Good understanding of Cloudera/Hadoop ecosystem integration with Informatica BDM.
  • Strong knowledge of SSL, certificate management, and security hardening practices.
  • Expertise in HA, grid architecture, load balancing, and Informatica domain management.
  • Understanding of CDC frameworks; DataStage to BDM migration is a plus.
