Job Summary:

The Informatics Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organizations information systems, databases, and IT infrastructure. This role ensures the integrity, security, and efficient operation of digital information resources while supporting business operations and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration:

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, network devices, and software applications.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.

  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

  • Database Management:

  • Oversee database administration, including backups, recovery, and performance tuning.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant standards.

  • Information Security:

  • Implement and enforce security protocols, policies, and best practices.

  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

  • Respond to and mitigate security incidents.

  • Technical Support:

  • Provide support to end-users regarding software, hardware, and network issues.

  • Document procedures, solutions, and system changes.

  • System Optimization & Reporting:

  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.

  • Generate reports on IT operations, system usage, and data management.

  • Project Management & Collaboration:

  • Assist with IT projects, including software deployment, upgrades, and migrations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, IT Administrator, or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.), and networking protocols.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
