Position: Senior Technical Sales Engineer

As a Senior Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by positioning dSPACE’s cutting-edge solutions for Automotive, Railways, Defence & Aerospace sectors. This role combines technical expertise with strategic sales acumen to develop strong customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure successful adoption of dSPACE products, contributing to the company’s leadership in embedded systems development and validation.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Positioning: Present and position dSPACE’s product portfolio to customers, focusing on established business areas and emerging opportunities.
- Strategic Coordination: Collaborate with your supervisor on strategic aspects of customer engagement, pricing, and negotiation.
- Market Intelligence: Gather competitor insights and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
- Sales Strategy Development: Contribute to customer development plans and sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, expanding the contact base across organizations.
- New Business Acquisition: Identify and acquire new customers to grow market share.
- Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports to support business planning.
- Technical Consultation: Provide technical guidance on dSPACE solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements for embedded systems development and validation solutions
Requirements (Qualification & Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or related field) with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE products, strong understanding of ECU development, testing processes, and model-based design workflows.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and business discussions.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office applications.
Preferred, experience in automotive electronics, embedded systems, or related industries. Familiarity with industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ISO 26262, and CAN/LIN/FlexRay protocols, will be an added advantage,
