Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Cloud Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+years strong experience in SQL Server on AWS platform.

The role includes database development, support, and administration activities.

You will also work with other databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, and cloud tools such as ADF, DynamoDB, and Snowflake.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and manage SQL Server on AWS.
  • Handle backups, restores, HA/DR, and database upgrades.
  • Monitor performance and tune queries, indexes, and resources.
  • Automate DBA tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or AWS CLI.
  • Support application teams with SQL queries and deployments.
  • Schedule and manage ETL/data transfer jobs using Azure Data Factory (ADF) or SSIS.
  • Implement database security, access control, and encryption.
  • Monitor using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or AWS CloudWatch.
  • Work on PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle for basic admin and troubleshooting.
  • Support DynamoDB (table design, throughput) and Snowflake (user and data management).
  • Troubleshoot blocking, deadlocks, and performance issues.
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and participate in on-call support.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in SQL Server Administration, Performance Tuning, and T-SQL Development.
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL DB, Azure Managed Instance, AWS RDS, and EC2-based SQL.
  • Good understanding of backups, replication, AlwaysOn, and DR setup.
  • Experience with ADF, SSIS, or ETL tools for data loading.
  • Basic hands-on with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, DynamoDB, and Snowflake.
  • Automation skills with PowerShell / Python scripting.
  • Familiar with monitoring, alerts, and cost optimization in cloud.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
