Hiring: Head of Business – E-Commerce (Electronics & Fashion Division)


Location: Bengaluru

Company: RK Group (in collaboration with a leading marketplace)


RK Group is launching a new e-commerce venture focusing on electronics (primarily mobile phones) and fashion categories. We are looking for an experienced Head of Business to lead operations, ensure financial discipline, and manage key stakeholder relationships. This role will report directly to the Directors/Promoters.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

  • Implement and enforce operational SOPs in alignment with the marketplace platform.
  • Drive operational efficiency across collections, claims (as per SLA), returns management, and reverse logistics.


Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with platform partners, brand teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve operational, financial, and business issues through structured problem-solving.


Finance Controllership

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements at local, state, and central levels.
  • Prepare and present monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Track, report, and analyze budget variances.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and documentation of processes and accounting policies.
  • Lead all statutory, tax, internal, and management audits.
  • Recommend improvements to financial processes and policies for better performance.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10 to 15 years of experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an e-commerce environment is mandatory.
  • Proven leadership experience in finance controllership.
  • Prior experience in setting up finance processes for a new entity, especially in e-commerce, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial policies, compliance requirements, and core e-commerce metrics.
  • Experience managing and leading teams of at least 5 employees.
  • Exposure to electronics or fashion category e-commerce operations is an added advantage.

Bengaluru, with travel as required.
