Purpose :


VertexOne is looking for a Java Architect who will be a thought leader and drive innovation inside the organization.

You will take full technical ownership in product development on technical aspects and solutioning.

You will help adopt the best technology practices and partner with the project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities Include :

- Responsible for designing, developing, & implementing complex Java-based systems & applications.

- Good understanding and experience of cloud native application design principles (like micro-services, stateless application meant for cloud, containers, 12 factor app principles etc.)

- Understands enterprise security, compliance, and data security at the network and Application layer.

- Experience in object-oriented, SOLID, and DRY principles, reactive programming models, Microservices, and event-driven solutions

- Ability to identify, showcase potential solutions, and recommend the best solution based on requirements.

- Good working experience with API-driven architecture, microservices, orchestration, DevOps

- Maintain and upgrade the architecture from redundancy, security, and availability point of view.

- Help adopt best technology practices and partner with the project delivery team.

- Analyzing and defining technical requirements for Java-based systems and applications

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and developers, to ensure project success.

- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members

- Assisting in the resolution of complex technical issues and ensuring that applications are deployed successfully.

- Update technical documentation relating to design and coding Keep an eye out for technology trends, open-source projects, cloud technologies that can be leveraged.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are also important for success in this role.

Experience :

- 8+ years of IT software development experience in building large-scale, high-volume, low latency, high availability, and complex distributed services.

- A hands-on architect who has delivered at least 3-4 large-scale projects from ground zero.

- At least 5 years of Microservices, Application-level design and architecting for SaaS applications and cloud-based applications.

- Strong experience in Java programming, architecture, and design patterns is essential for this role.

Core Technical Stack :


- Core Java 1. 8 or Later

- Microservices Stack - Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Zuul, Sleuth, Integrations, Apache Camel, Hystrix, JPA, Spring batch etc.

- Messaging Systems - Kafka

- Databases - Oracle, MySQL, H2, MongoDB, IBM DB2

- Rule Engines

- Familiarity/Experience with container technologies, e., Docker, Kubernetes etc.

- Caching Systems like Ehcache, Redis, Hazzlecast etc.

- API Platforms, API Security, Reliability, Resilience

Minimum Qualifications :

- Bachelor/Master's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- Excellent verbal/written communication and inter-personnel skills
