About the role: We’re looking for a highly skilled Mobile Engineer (React Native) to lead the design and development of cutting-edge mobile applications for both iOS and Android. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver seamless, high-performance user experiences. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, cares deeply about user experience, and wants to shape the future of scalable, enterprise-grade mobile applications.What you'll do:Design and develop advanced mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android platformsCollaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver delightful user experiencesDrive architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability of mobile codebasesLeverage and integrate native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) skills when needed for platform-specific requirementsOptimise mobile app performance, responsiveness, and offline-first experiencesWrite clean, reusable, testable, and efficient code with strong attention to detailMentor junior engineers and contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and best practicesStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and mobile development best practicesWhat you bring:8+ years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 5+ years in mobile app developmentStrong expertise in React Native with proven experience delivering apps at scaleFamiliarity with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development, with the ability to integrate native modules into React Native appsSolid understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and offline data handlingExperience with performance optimisation, memory management, and debugging for mobile appsFamiliarity with error logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Bugsnag, Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics)Proficiency with modern mobile tooling: Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, Fastlane, etc.Strong knowledge of software engineering principles: design patterns, CI/CD, automated testing, code qualityExcellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional, global teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience building enterprise SaaS or analytics productsExposure to mobile security best practices (authentication, encryption, secure storage)Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities or data visualisation into mobile apps
