Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join the Risk Technology team of a leading investment bank. The role involves building and enhancing systems that support risk management, ensuring scalability, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications for risk management and reporting.
  • Work closely with risk managers, quants, and business analysts to deliver technical solutions to complex risk problems.
  • Enhance existing systems to meet regulatory and business-driven requirements.
  • Ensure code quality, testing, and deployment standards within a controlled environment.
  • Collaborate with global teams to support business-critical risk applications.


Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong expertise in Java development (multithreading, collections, performance optimisation).
  • Previous experience working in risk management technology (market risk, credit risk, or counterparty risk).
  • Solid understanding of investment banking products (derivatives, fixed income, equities).
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL/Oracle) and messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
