Role Overview
As Pyse scales its fleet of electric two-wheelers for B2B last-mile delivery, we are looking for an Operations & Service Associate to join our product operations team.
This role is hands-on: you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and performance optimization of two-wheeler EVs across multiple geographies. You’ll coordinate between manufacturers, fleet partners, and service providers to ensure vehicles are road-ready, reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical know-how in EVs, on-ground service experience, and the ability to manage vendors and service networks across India and UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Maintenance & Servicing
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for 2W EVs in India and UAE.
- Troubleshoot recurring issues in drivetrain, batteries, telematics, and control systems.
- Build SOPs for servicing, battery swaps, and emergency breakdown management.
Vendor & Service Network Management
- Liaise with OEMs and local service centres to resolve technical faults quickly.
- Oversee the management of battery charging and swapping stations, including setting up SOPs, monitoring day-to-day operations, and resolving issues that arise.
Vehicle Health Monitoring
- Track KPIs such as uptime, average repair time, battery health, and cost per km.
- Work with telematics engineers to monitor live data and predict failures proactively.
Deployment & On-Ground Ops
- Supervise fleet rollouts, registration, and integration with last-mile delivery partners.
- Provide training to delivery riders and fleet supervisors on EV handling and charging.
- Ensure vehicles meet RTA/UAE compliance standards during deployment.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed service logs, maintenance costs, and vehicle performance dashboards.
- Report key insights and recurring issues to engineering teams for design improvements.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience:
- 3–4 years in EV servicing, fleet operations, or automotive service roles.
- Prior experience with two-wheeler EVs or last-mile delivery fleets preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of EV drivetrain & powertrain systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of Lithium-ion batteries, BMS, and charging protocols.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools (multimeter, BMS tester, OEM software).
- Familiarity with IoT/telematics modules (GPS/GSM, sensors, CAN bus).
- Experience in preventive & corrective maintenance cycles.
Operational Skills:
- Fleet maintenance planning and SLA management.
- Spare parts and inventory management.
- Vendor management and cross-border service partner coordination.
- Rider/fleet team training for basic EV handling.
Compliance & Safety:
- Knowledge of UAE RTA and ESMA regulations for EVs.
- Safe battery handling, fire safety, and hazard protocols.
- Ability to conduct and document safety audits.
Soft Skills:
- Proactive problem-solver with strong coordination skills.
- Comfortable with frequent international travel.
- Strong written and verbal communication (English; Hindi helpful; Arabic is a plus).
- Detail-oriented with excellent reporting/documentation abilities.
Bonus Points For
- Prior coordination with Chinese EV OEMs or component suppliers.
- Experience deploying EV fleets for last-mile logistics in India/UAE.
- Hands-on rider training or service SOP development experience.
