Position: Head / Senior Leader – MCC (Maintenance Control Center)

Location: Delhi NCR

Job Summary:

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Leader – MCC to oversee 24x7 maintenance control operations for a large commercial airline. This role requires deep technical knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to take quick, data-driven decisions under pressure. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of experience in engineering or technical operations, with proven leadership in an MCC environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage MCC teams ensuring timely technical support to aircraft in AOG or critical maintenance situations.
  • Oversee 24/7 maintenance control operations ensuring flight safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Line Maintenance, Engineering, Flight Operations, Planning, and Logistics to ensure smooth resolution of aircraft issues.
  • Authorize aircraft release in coordination with B1/B2 certifying staff in line with CAR 145 / CAR M requirements.
  • Implement effective shift planning, real-time monitoring, and decision-making to manage technical disruptions.
  • Ensure accurate logging and escalation of all AOG events, MEL/CDL compliance, and deferred defect monitoring.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA), reliability improvement initiatives, and preventive maintenance planning.
  • Liaise with OEMs and MROs for technical support, troubleshooting, and AOG part support.
  • Maintain compliance with DGCA, CAR-66, and international aviation regulations.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership to improve TAT, dispatch reliability, and aircraft utilization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) license – Valid CAR-66 B1 or B2 preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 5 years in an MCC leadership role
  • In-depth knowledge of Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft systems
  • Strong understanding of airline engineering systems, MEL, maintenance programs, and reliability systems
  • Excellent communication, team management, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in using maintenance tracking tools like AMOS, TRAX, or similar

Preferred Background:

  • Leadership experience in a scheduled airline or large MRO
  • Experience with DGCA regulations, CAR-145 and CAR-M procedures
  • Hands-on knowledge of major fleet types (A320/B737/B777/B787 etc.)
