Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Solar Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in solar and renewable energy projects, including Solar PV, WTP, STP, and RESCO-based projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design and engineering activities, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with standards, and project feasibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed solar PV system designs including layout, SLD, GA drawings, and string configuration.
  • Perform system sizing and capacity calculations for rooftop, ground-mounted, and RESCO projects.
  • Design and review electrical drawings (DC/AC layouts, earthing, lightning protection).
  • Support design activities for renewable-integrated WTP & STP projects.
  • Ensure compliance with MNRE, DISCOM, IEC, and project-specific standards.
  • Coordinate with project, procurement, and execution teams for design finalization.
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments.
  • Prepare and review BOQ, technical specifications, and DPRs.
  • Support tendering and technical documentation as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Renewable Energy.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in solar design and renewable EPC projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and MS Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV components, inverters, modules, and balance of systems.
  • Understanding of WTP, STP, and RESCO project concepts.
  • Good coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with utility-scale and rooftop solar projects.
  • Exposure to hybrid renewable systems.
  • Familiarity with site execution support and commissioning processes.
