Position Overview:

The Costing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, analysing, and monitoring the cost estimation and budgeting of EPC and renewable energy projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments to ensure accurate and timely cost control and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and detailed cost break-ups for EPC and renewable energy projects.
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with procurement, design, and project execution teams to collect and verify cost data.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations and support the tendering team during bid preparation.
  • Track project expenses, identify cost variances, and prepare cost performance reports.
  • Support cost forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, historical records, and standard cost templates.
  • Assist management in financial planning, tender submissions, and decision-making through accurate cost insights.
  • Ensure compliance with company cost control policies and project accounting standards.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and project costing in EPC or construction sectors.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, cost analysis tools, and ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil).
  • 2–5 years of experience in project costing, estimation, or cost control, preferably in EPC or renewable energy industry.
