As we expand our Indian operations, we are building a strong local team that mirrors the professionalism and care of our UK counterparts.About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team in Chennai. In this role, you will be part of our Chennai-based outsourcing team, working closely with our UK counterparts to deliver high-quality financial support. You’ll handle daily bookkeeping functions, support monthly reporting, and communicate with UK clients—all while being trained on UK accounting systems and expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and prepare reportsPerform daily bookkeeping: bank reconciliations, A/P, A/R, and payroll supportRecord journal entries and ensure compliance with UK accounting standardsAssist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closingsUse cloud-based accounting software like Xero and QuickBooksLiaise with UK clients and accountants in a timely and professional mannerMaintain organized digital records and uphold internal process standardsWhat We’re Looking For1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping and financial reportingStrong knowledge of accounting principles and journal entriesHands-on experience with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks preferred)Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written)Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCA Inter / ACCA / CPA certification is a plusWhat We OfferOpportunity to grow with an international accounting firmUK-focused training and mentorshipSupportive and collaborative team cultureCareer development and upskilling opportunitiesCompetitive salary based on experienceThink you're the right fit?
