Job Description: Executive Director – Data & AI
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Management:
1. Oversee end-to-end delivery across a portfolio of projects within the Banking and Finance sector.
2. Manage and lead a large team of resources, ensuring timely delivery, P&L management, and quality standards.
3. Ensure effective project governance, risk management, and escalation processes are in place for all projects.
4. Continuously monitor and improve delivery processes and methodologies to drive operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
2. Build strong relationships with clients to understand their strategic objectives and ensure alignment with delivered solutions.
3. Act as a trusted advisor, providing proactive solutions and insights to drive client success.
4. Conduct regular business reviews and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Management Consulting:
1. Provide expert consulting services to Banking and Finance clients, assisting them in transforming their business processes and IT strategies.
2. Identify opportunities to enhance service offerings and help clients navigate digital transformation and Data & AI initiatives.
3. Lead business analysis and problem-solving efforts, helping clients identify areas for optimization and innovation.
Sales and Business Development:
1. Lead Sales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations.
2. Drive the expansion of the portfolio by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing client accounts.
3. Participate in RFP responses, engage in client discussions, and create winning proposals that meet both client requirements and organizational goals.
P&L Management:
1. Own $10-15 million + USD portfolio, ensuring profitability and responsible financial management.
2. Track financial performance, including revenue, margin, and cost optimization.
3. Monitor and control project budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising delivery quality.
Team Leadership and Development:
1. Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of project managers, consultants, and technical professionals.
2. Foster a high-performance culture through continuous learning, development, and employee engagement.
3. Support resource allocation and workforce planning to meet current and future project demands.
4. Process Improvement and Innovation:
5. Continuously assess and enhance delivery frameworks, methodologies, and tools to increase project efficiency and effectiveness.
6. Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies and best practices in IT service delivery.
7. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, particularly within the Banking and Finance Management sector.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degrees are preferred.
Experience:
1. 18+ years of experience in IT services / Management Consulting, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
2. Proven track record of managing a large-scale portfolio (over $10-15 million USD) in the Banking and Finance domain focusing on Data & AI service offerings
3. Experience in managing large teams of professionals across multiple locations.
4. Strong expertise in Banking and Finance, stakeholder management and delivery.
5. Prior experience Sales and business development, including successful client engagements.
Key Skills:
1. Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive large teams to achieve strategic goals.
2. Client Management: Exceptional client-facing and stakeholder management capabilities, particularly at the executive level.
3. Banking and Finance Expertise: Ability to provide strategic consulting and advisory services, particularly around digital transformation.
4. Project Delivery: Solid understanding of delivery methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and traditional project management.
5. Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills with experience handling budgets of over $10-15 million USD.
6. Presales Acumen: Experience supporting sales teams with presales activities and growing client accounts.
7. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with clients and stakeholders.
