Job Title : Senior Business Analyst - P&C Insurance Domain

Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance domain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of conducting data analysis, identifying data quality issues, and proposing effective solutions.


They will play a key role in gathering and documenting reporting requirements and collaborating with technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Perform in-depth data analysis to support business decision-making and identify areas for improvement in the P&C insurance domain.

2. Identify data quality issues and propose practical solutions to address them, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

3. Conduct user workshops to gather and elicit reporting requirements from stakeholders across various departments.

4. Document reporting requirements in the form of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Design (FD) documents.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, product managers, and technical teams, to ensure alignment and shared understanding of requirements.

7. Facilitate smooth handover of requirements to the technical team and provide clarifications and support throughout the development process.

8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in the P&C insurance domain.

Required Qualifications and Experience :

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

2. 8 to 10 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 to 3 years of experience specific to the P&C insurance domain.

3. Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software.

4. Proven ability to identify data quality issues and propose effective solutions to resolve them.

5. Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to conduct productive user workshops and elicit requirements from diverse stakeholders.

6. Strong documentation skills, including the ability to create clear and concise BRDs and FD documents.

7. Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and effectively communicating them to development teams.

8. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional team environments.

9. In-depth knowledge of P&C insurance products, underwriting processes, claims handling, and regulatory requirements.

10. Industry-recognized certifications are highly desirable.

2. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

3. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

4. Proficiency in using requirement management tools and data visualization software.

5. Experience in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks and data quality processes.

6. Familiarity with policy administration systems, claims management systems, or rating and pricing engines in the P&C insurance domain.
