Information Security Engineer

Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls to safeguard the company's IT infrastructure and data.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies (i.e., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems).
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with internal teams (IT operations, development) to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Provide security awareness training to employees.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred).
- 7-10 years of experience working in a Security Operations environment as an Information Security Engineer I or II.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Certifications in specific security technologies such as Firewall, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or Checkpoint (highly preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in routing and networking skills, including:
1. Configuring BGP
2. Identifying route origination based on routing tables
3. Understanding and modifying route metrics
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
