Job Title: VMware Horizon View L2 VDI Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5+ Years

Budget: 10 LPA

Primary Skill Requirement

  • VMware Horizon (Omnissa) – Mandatory and Primary Skill
  • Candidates must have strong hands-on experience working specifically as L2 VDI Engineers, not L1. Only profiles with relevant L2 experience in VMware Horizon administration will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer VMware Horizon / Omnissa VDI environment, including:
  • Connection Servers
  • DEM (Dynamic Environment Manager)
  • Desktop Pools & RDS Farms
  • Operate and maintain vCenter, ESXi hosts, and vSAN clusters.
  • Perform upgrades, patching, backup, and license management.
  • Handle VDI master image creation, optimization, recompose/refresh, and packaging.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve L2-level end-user VDI issues, escalations, and infrastructure incidents.
  • Configure and troubleshoot:
  • HA, DRS, vMotion
  • vSphere virtual networking
  • Manage SSL, STS, and VMCA certificates across VDI infrastructure.
  • Prepare and deliver daily/weekly VDI health reports and participate in DR drills.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, hardening guidelines, and best practices.
  • Manage ITSM tickets (Incident, Change, Problem) and ensure closure as per SLA.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution and documentation.

Requirements

  • VMware / Omnissa Certified Professional (Mandatory).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in VDI administration.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • VMware Horizon (Primary Skill)
  • vCenter & ESXi
  • vSAN
  • VDI image engineering
  • Excellent L2-level troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, and documentation capabilities.
  • Good communication and ability to work with global teams.
