Main responsibilities As a Senior Technical EDI business analyst at Volvo Cars, you will act as an intermediary between the business community, technical community, and Volvo Cars’ trading partners to elicit, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design from which solutions are developed and delivered. EDI Solution Architecture aspiration is a plus since there is an opportunity for evolvement of the role.You will perform business analysis techniques in working with these partners to understand the business processes and needs that enable EDI B2B integration projects to be successful and goals to be met. You will also assist in test validation and the rolling out of enhancements and bug fixes.Facilitate meetings with all stakeholders to elicit, define, and refine integration requirementsAnalyze, develop, and manage detailed requirements documentationManage EDI B2B projects through testing, validation, and implementationDevelop life cycle documents, including detailed functional requirements, software (data translation) and other design specifications, and user manuals.Provide test cases to the developersVerify and validate complete end-to-end testing with the business and trading partnersWork with the developers to verify project completion for supportabilityUtilize strong written and oral communication skills to regularly update stakeholders on project status, e.g. project phase, issues/roadblocks, go-live dates, etc.Develop and plan strategies and improvements for EDI Solutions within Volvo Cars together with Service Manager for EDIMaintain a high level of knowledge in the field of EDI and software as well as in Volvo Cars business architectureKnowledge of software architecture, integration concepts and integration patternsKnowledge of creating integration design proposals and documenting themDo you fit the profile? 3+ years of relevant experience in a Business or Technical Analyst roleExperience with Seeburger BIS suite or equivalent 3+ years' experience with EDI formatsProficient with traditional and non-traditional forms of EDIGEFEG for documentation – nice to have3+ years’ experience in the transportation/logistics/supply chain fieldExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-managed and motivated; organized and detail-orientedAbility to create process flow documentationAbility to follow through with tasks to their completionAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProject management, time management, and problem-solving skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to translate business requirements and design concepts into intuitive designs and solutionsAbility to recognize complex problems and apply creativity to analyze solutions, develop solutions and proceduresExperience of messaging using IBM MQ (or equivalent)
