About the Role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology & Product Officer (CTPO) to lead our technology and product strategy. The CTPO will be responsible for defining the long-term product vision, building and scaling engineering systems, and ensuring Trade Pe delivers cutting-edge, secure, and scalable payment solutions.

This is a pivotal role where you’ll work closely with the founders, business leaders, and investors to align product innovation with business growth, while also building and mentoring a world-class product and engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership

• Own the overall technology strategy and architecture for Trade Pe’s payments platform.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of systems handling global, high-stakes financial transactions.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-first infrastructure.
• Balance innovation with pragmatic decision-making to ensure rapid execution.

Product Leadership

• Define and execute the product vision and roadmap aligned with company objectives.
• Translate market insights and customer needs into high-impact product strategies.
• Partner with business, operations, and compliance to build solutions tailored for global trade.
• Ensure the product experience is intuitive, user-centric, and delivers measurable business value.

People & Culture

• Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing team across engineering, design, and product.
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and collaboration.
• Establish best practices in agile product development, engineering excellence, and data-driven decision-making.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to align technology and product with company goals.
• Communicate product and technology vision to internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and partners.
• Represent Trade Pe as a thought leader in the fintech and payments ecosystem.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of progressive experience in technology and product roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
• Strong background in software engineering with exposure to full-stack development (Python/Django, React/TypeScript, databases, cloud).
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, high-availability systems in fintech, payments, or other mission-critical domains.
• Deep understanding of security, compliance, and risk management in financial systems.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market needs into scalable product solutions.
• Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams (engineering, design, product management).

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, or Head of Product in a high-growth fintech or payments company.
• Expertise in cross-border payments, FX, or transaction processing systems.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean product development practices.
• Strong communication skills to work with diverse stakeholders — from engineers to regulators.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in fast-paced, 0-to-1 environments.
