Role Summary

We are seeking a technically sound and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our Mechanical RCD team. This role demands not only proficiency in CAD tools but also a solid understanding of core mechanical engineering principles. The candidate will be responsible for converting engineering concepts into manufacturable designs, developing mechanisms, and supporting prototype fabrication. A strong foundation in mechanical subjects is essential to ensure functional accuracy and design integrity.

Key Responsibilities:


CAD Modeling s Drawing Development

· Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, referencing engineering, machine, and assembly drawings

· Apply GDCT standards, tolerance analysis, and fit selection for manufacturability

· Prepare detailed assembly drawings, exploded views, and BOMs for production


Engineering Interpretation s Mechanism Design

· Analyze and interpret technical drawings to extract design intent and functional requirements

· Design mechanisms using principles from Kinematics of Machinery and Engineering Design


· Integrate knowledge of stress analysis, material behavior, and motion dynamics into CAD workflows


Manufacturing s CAD/CAM Integration

· Generate CAM files and toolpaths for CNC machining using CAD/CAM software

· Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility and optimize for production

· Support fabrication and assembly processes with accurate documentation and revision control


Calibration, Metrology s Quality Support

· Assist in calibration of developed mechanisms using metrology tools and standards

· Use precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) for dimensional verification

· Ensure compliance with inspection protocols and quality benchmarks


Field s Remote Work Readiness

· Capable of executing CAD-related tasks in remote or field locations, including on- site revisions

· Document field feedback and incorporate design changes into updated models
