As a Visa Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a multi-functional development team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While building components of powerful payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test automation and maintain software applications.Implement robust and scalable software solutions consistent with the company's business objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand the functional requirements.Write clean, readable, and testable code that is scalable and well-documented.Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices and experiences with the team.Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.Implement strong security and data protection solutions.Work with data structures, algorithms, and system design as part of the problem-solving process.Must be comfortable with being hands-on in software development and technical issues.QualificationsBasic QualificationsBasic Qualifications2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experiencePreferred Qualifications3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 3 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)5+ years of relevant experience in software industryProficient in Java/J2EE technologiesExperience in frameworks like Spring, Sprint MVC, JPA, HibernateExperience In SQL And/or PL/SQL Is RequiredExperience in working with microservice development, containerization, and CI CDExperience working on UI/Web development using JavaScript, UI frameworks like Angular/ReactDemonstrated knowledge of Web Services Development using SOAP or REST, JSON and XMLProficient in GIT/Stash, MavenExperience being part of a Agile/Scrum teamBachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, or related technology/engineering disciplineAdditional InformationThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.Visa is an EEO Employer.
