Key Skills:

  • AWS Networking: VPC, ALB, NLB, Transit Gateway (TGW), VPN, Direct Connect, ELB, Route 53
  • Security: AWS Network Firewall, WAF, Firewalls, Zscaler
  • Infrastructure: Switching, Load Balancers, SD-WAN (Cisco Meraki)

Technical Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage all network services within the AWS cloud environment, including VPCs, Route 53, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, IPSec VPN, and ELB.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking components including AWS WAF, AWS Firewalls, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Routing, and Elastic Load Balancers.
  • Experience with Hub-and-Spoke VPC architectures and Transit Gateways; capable of setting up VPC peering both regionally and globally.
  • Strong understanding of public and private peering between ISPs and AWS for dedicated cloud connectivity.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native or virtual firewall appliances in high-availability environments using load balancers.
  • Implement and manage site-to-site and remote access VPNs on AWS.
  • Deep experience in cloud network infrastructure deployment and operations.
  • Proficient in SD-WAN deployment and integration (Cisco Meraki) – both physical and virtual appliances.
  • Understanding of scalable cloud application deployment strategies across regions.
  • Familiarity with microservices and cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on expertise with Zscaler – including rule creation, policy enforcement, SSL inspection, integration with threat intelligence, and analytics/reporting for threat detection.
  • Solid knowledge of VPN tunneling technologies, encryption protocols, and secure proxy communication setups.
  • Strong experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and switching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement scalable, secure AWS networking solutions including subnets, route tables, and network ACLs.
  • Configure and manage Application Load Balancers (ALB) and Network Load Balancers (NLB) for high availability and optimized traffic flow.
  • Set up and manage VPC peering, AWS Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect to ensure efficient network performance and interconnectivity.
