Job Description – 2D Animator


We are seeking a talented 2D Animator to join our creative team in bringing characters, game objects, and UI elements to life using traditional and digital 2D animation techniques. This role requires strong proficiency in Spine 2D and a solid understanding of animation principles. The ideal candidate will work closely with designers and artists to create high-quality animations that align with project requirements and artistic direction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and animate 2D characters, props, and backgrounds based on storyboards, concept art, and creative briefs.
  • Accurately convey personalities, expressions, and movements of game characters or objects through fluid animation.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to maintain consistency in animation style and adhere to project guidelines.
  • Create animatics, layout poses, and in-betweens to produce smooth and visually appealing animations.
  • Participate in animation reviews and incorporate feedback to refine and enhance animation quality.
  • Create effect layers such as rays, glows, glints, and lighting to enhance visual appeal and storytelling impact.


Requirements:

  • 4 to 8 years of experience in animation for films, television, video games, slot games, or mobile gaming industries.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects.
  • Proficiency in Spine 2D for character and object animation.
  • Strong understanding of core animation principles such as timing, spacing, squash and stretch, and anticipation.
  • Experience with particle simulations, visual effects, and physics-based dynamics.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Blender 3D (optional).
  • Digital drawing skills (optional).
  • Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or equivalent relevant qualification.
