Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer – SME Location: Hyderabad | Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails SME to lead design, development, and quality for key modules of our platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for mentoring and driving excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Roles & ResponsibilitiesAct as SME (Subject Matter Expert) in at least one functional module of the system or service.Own the design and quality of services/modules under your SME area.Maintain a say/do ratio of >95% in execution.Perform code reviews and act as the quality gatekeeper for your SME module.Assist, mentor, and guide junior team members.Enforce code review and test coverage standards to ensure high-quality releases.Ensure no regressions in owned modules.Serve on interview panels to help grow the engineering team and organization.Must-Have Skills8+ years of overall software engineering experience.3+ years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.Solid experience with web services and RESTful APIs.Good understanding of JavaScript dependency management and build tools.Experience with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team.Proficiency with Git / GitHub for version control.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative atmosphere and adapt to evolving user needs.#RubyOnRails #RoR #HyderabadJobs #SoftwareEngineering #TechJobs #HiringNow #FullStack #BackendDeveloper #PostgreSQL #MongoDB #GitHub #RESTAPI #JavaScript #HTML5 #CSS3 #EngineeringExcellence
