Commercial Finance Analyst

The role supports the global production commercial function in achieving its goals with both internal and external stakeholders. You will work closely with the Global Production commercial team, client service community, technology, and operations teams to drive profitable growth through : 1) innovative financial proposals for new and existing clients, 2) financial management and governance, and 3) Use of data to drive strategies.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a proactive and self-starting Commercial Finance Analyst with a strong background in commercial modelling to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting to RFPs/RFIs, involved commercial strategies and providing expert financial insights through complex data analysis to support our offerings. This role demands a detailed understanding of cost structures and exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Conduct detailed financial analysis and modelling to support strategic decision-making processes.
• Prepare and analyse RFPs and RFIs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company objectives and standards.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary financial and operational data for analysis.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, including formulas, Power Pivot, and Power Query to manipulate and analyse large datasets.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Perform ETL processes to clean, transform and load data from various sources into accessible and useful formats for in-depth analysis.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities in financial data and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes and systems.

CRITICAL SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a commercial finance analyst role or similar.
• Demonstrable experience with RFP and RFI processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, Power Pivot, and Power Query.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Solid understanding of ETL processes, including data extraction, cleaning, transformation and loading techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop meaningful insights.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
