Role:SAP FI Vertex Consultant

Job Description:


Vertex Solution Implementation:

  • Expert knowledge to Configure Vertex O to calculate , record and document Sales Tax and Use Tax on Sales in US and Canada including the ability to setup Taxability drivers , Flex Fields ,Tax Assist Rules and Use of but not limited to Transaction Tester.
  • Expert knowledge to Configure Vertex O to calculate, Validate or Self- accrue Consumer Use Tax / Other Taxes on Purchases, in US and Canada.
  • Ability to leverage Vertex O batch processing and Load Customer Exemption Certificates for over 3000 Customers
  • Ability to Define and Run VRA Reports in Vertex O for Transaction details /Certificates / Other drivers
  • Ability to Configure Vertex Accelerator for Accounts Receivable data Mapping / Accounts payable data mapping including Location setup.
  • Ability to configure Vertex Accelerator for Enabling Logs and review of SIC logs for Sales /Purchase Transactions including Data mapping logs
  • Ability to configure Accelerator based Default Tax code setup and handling exceptions to default Tax code choices
  • Ability to setup Vertex Extracts for AR /AP and reconcile AR/AP transactions with S/4

SAP S/4 Tax Implementation:

  • Configure S/4 Tax Engine to calculate and record VAT /GST on Sales in Non-US /Canada which includes Country specific Tax procedures , Condition Types , Tax Codes and Sales Tax Condition Records
  • Configure Vertex O to calculate and record document VAT / GST on Purchases in US and Canada
  • Good working knowledge of SD Pricing with specific reference to Tax Condition Types , Tax Condition base value determination
  • Ability to leverage Vertex delivered Reports for AR /AP /GL including ability to enhance Vertex delivered Reports for additional fields.
  • Ability to develop Functional Specifications for Enhancing Vertex delivered Reports , New Custom Reports and User Exits to address specific Tax Reporting Requirements
  • Ability to develop Test Scripts for Tax business processes , Run Test cases , capture evidence , participate in Defect Triage and resolve Defects
  • Good working knowledge of SD /MM Integrations with FI /Tax including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve errors independently faced by Cross functional teams including the ability to identify and apply relevant SAP Notes
