Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented US Tax Associate to support US tax compliance and reporting requirements. The role involves preparing US federal and state tax returns, assisting with tax research, and supporting senior tax professionals in delivering accurate and timely tax services to clients.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review US federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
  • Assist in preparation of Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and related schedules
  • Support compliance with US GAAP tax provisions (ASC 740) where applicable
  • Perform tax research using US tax codes, regulations, and online tax research tools
  • Analyze financial statements and supporting schedules for tax purposes
  • Coordinate with onshore US tax teams to meet filing deadlines
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Support IRS notices, audits, and information requests as needed
  • Stay updated on changes in US tax laws and regulations


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
  • 1–4 years of experience in US taxation (public accounting or shared services preferred)
  • Strong understanding of US federal and state tax concepts
  • Experience with US tax preparation software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or similar)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and basic financial analysis


Preferred Qualifications

  • CA / CPA (US) / EA / CA-Inter qualification or pursuing
  • Experience working with Big 4 or large accounting firms
  • Exposure to international tax concepts is a plus
