Roles and Responsibilities:

• Architect and govern large-scale cloud solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise security, performance, reliability, and compliance standards.
• Design multi-cloud architecture frameworks, including workload placement strategies, interoperability models and unified governance controls.
• Lead modernization initiatives using cloud-native patterns, microservices, event-driven architectures and container platforms.
• Drive end-to-end platform architecture across compute, networking, storage, IAM, automation and data services.
• Define and govern HA and DR architecture, including regional failover models, backup/restore strategy, resilience patterns, RPO/RTO design and business continuity planning.
• Oversee backup, recovery, snapshot lifecycle management and data protection strategies across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Provide architectural leadership for Kubernetes platforms, including multi-region clusters, service mesh (Istio/Consul), cluster governance and high-availability design.
• Define enterprise observability strategies covering logs, metrics, traces, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets and platform health dashboards.
• Partner with DevOps/SRE teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, infrastructure automation and release governance.
• Architect integration patterns using Kafka, message queues, streaming platforms and asynchronous communication models.
• Support FinOps functions in defining cloud cost frameworks, budgeting models, optimization strategies and chargeback/showback processes.
• Lead architecture reviews, technology evaluations, proofs of concept and creation of enterprise reference blueprints.
• Mentor engineering and architecture teams to ensure consistency, best practices and alignment with enterprise technology strategy.
• Collaborate with security teams to embed cloud security controls, IAM guardrails, zero-trust patterns, encryption standards and compliance automation.

Must Have Skills:

• 15+ years of architecture experience focused on large-scale enterprise cloud platforms.
• Expert-level architecture proficiency in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP across compute, networking, IAM, storage, serverless and managed services.
• Strong multi-cloud architecture capability including unified governance, workload placement, interoperability design, guardrails and landing zone frameworks.
• Deep Kubernetes architecture experience multi-region clusters, service mesh (Istio/Consul), zero-trust ingress/egress patterns and cluster governance.
• Expertise in HA/DR architecture, including regional failover, backup/restore design, cross-region replication, snapshot management, DR drills and RPO/RTO modeling.
• Strong experience with backup and recovery solutions across cloud, hybrid, and Kubernetes environments (e.g., Velero, native cloud backups, snapshot orchestration).
• Experience designing internal developer platforms (IDP) and platform engineering frameworks.
• Strong understanding of hybrid-cloud connectivity Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPN, transit gateways, SD-WAN integration.
• Solid knowledge of cloud security tooling such as CSPM, CWPP and governance automation.
• Familiarity with SRE principles, reliability engineering, chaos engineering and automated remediation.
• Expertise in enterprise integration architectures: Kafka, message queues, streaming platforms, event-driven and asynchronous communication models.
• Advanced observability architecture experience distributed tracing, logging pipelines, metrics frameworks, SLIs/SLOs and monitoring design.
• Strong command of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and automation strategies.
• Experience defining cloud security architecture, IAM strategies, zero-trust controls and compliance-driven automation.
• Strong knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost governance, including budgeting, allocation, optimization strategies and cost-control frameworks.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality HLDs, LLDs, standards, ADRs and enterprise architectural blueprints.
• Strong leadership in architecture review boards, solution governance and guiding engineering and architecture teams.

Good to Have Skills:

• Background in AI/ML platform architecture, data platforms or large-scale data engineering pipelines.
• Relevant enterprise certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect.

Qualification: BE/BTech/MCA/ME/MTech/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
