Job Description :


We are seeking a motivated Presales Compute & Storage Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will play a critical part in the sales cycle by providing technical expertise and support to our sales team.

You will collaborate closely with sales representatives to understand customer requirements, design optimal solutions, and close deals for servers, storage, HCI (Hyperconverged Infrastructure), and backup solutions.

Responsibilities :

Technical Expertise and Solution Design :

- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer use cases, challenges, and applications.

- Leverage your in-depth knowledge of compute, storage, and data backup solutions to design, size, and configure on-premises solutions that meet specific customer requirements.

- Utilize your expertise in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) products from HPE, Cisco, Dell EMC, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix, and others to recommend the best-fit and cost-effective solutions.

Proof of Concept (POC) Development :

- Take ownership of developing and delivering proof-of-concept (POC) demonstrations for critical customer requirements, showcasing the value and capabilities of proposed solutions.

Data Backup and Recovery :

- Possess a strong understanding of data backup and recovery best practices, and be able to design and implement robust backup solutions using tools like Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas, Commvault, etc.

Technical Presentations and Communication :

- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Deliver clear and concise presentations to customers, explaining proposed solutions, data flow, and the overall value proposition.

Relationship Building :

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key representatives from major OEM vendors like HPE, Cisco, Dell EMC, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas, and Commvault.

Post-Sales Support :

- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer post-sales expectations and define the scope of work for deployment projects.

- Provide preliminary cost estimates for solutions to support the sales team.

Solution Visualization :

- For complex solutions like backup, virtualization/HCI, storage disaster recovery (DR), develop and present schematic diagrams to visually represent the proposed solutions to customers.

Upselling and Cross-Selling :

- Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within customer accounts to maximize sales potential.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 2 - 6 years of experience in designing and sizing complex on-premises server and storage solutions using products from HPE, Lenovo/IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, Cisco HyperFlex, Pure Storage, Rubrik, etc.

- Hands-on experience with various operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux) and virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, HCI platforms, and container technologies).

- Strong understanding of backup and archival solutions like Rubrik, Veritas, EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain, Veeam, Commvault, Acronis, etc.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills to effectively explain technical solutions to customers.

Desired Skills and Certifications (Preferred) :

- Product and technology certifications from major vendors (e.g., HPE, Cisco, Dell EMC, NetApp, etc).

- Familiarity with OEM subscription licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Oracle, Red Hat, SAP HANA).
