OVERVIEW

The Content, Marketing & Community Director for DESIGN DEMOCRACY is a strategic creative leader responsible for shaping the brand voice, marketing presence, and community ecosystem for India’s most forward-thinking architecture and design exhibition. The role includes content leadership, integrated marketing management, magazine oversight, and community-building across architects, exhibitors, and speakers, as well as head all content related initiatives for other allied activities of the brand.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


CONTENT STRATEGY & EDITORIAL

• Develop and execute a full-funnel content strategy for all platforms.

• Lead editorial direction for the Design Democracy magazine.

• Build and manage the content calendar.

• Create and curate high-quality content across social media, website, video, print, and talk programs.


MARKETING, MEDIA & BRAND

• Lead 360° marketing campaigns (digital, PR, print, influencer, partnerships).

• Bring advertising-level creative thinking and clarity in communication.

• Build and maintain a strong brand presence across touchpoints.

• Oversee all paid, organic, and media strategies.


COMMUNITY BUILDING

• Develop a thriving architect–designer community around the show.

• Manage social media engagement and influencer activation.

• Create engagement programs: talks, workshops, meet-ups, newsletters, digital series.

• Drive year-round interaction and participation from exhibitors and professionals.


LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION

• Lead a multidisciplinary team and external agencies.

• Collaborate with Exhibitions, Sales, Sponsorship and Operations teams.

• Manage partnerships, vendor relations, and media alliances.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Marketing, Media, Communications, Journalism or Advertising.

• 8+ years in editorial, content, media, brand strategy, or integrated marketing (advertising preferred).

• Strong communication and storytelling skills.

• Experience in events, architecture, design, or premium lifestyle sectors is a plus.

• Ability to lead teams and manage complex creative workflows.
