Job Description :


We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and testing of PCBs upto 6-layer boards. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing PCBs through schematics and ensuring the highest quality in our :


PCB Design and Layout :


- Design and develop PCB layouts (up to 6 layers or more) for electronic products based on given specifications, ensuring functionality, reliability, and manufacturability.


- Utilize CAD software (such as Altium Designer, Eagle, or similar tools) to create schematic designs and PCB layouts.


- Conduct design reviews and resolve any issues or challenges related to PCB layout, including signal integrity, thermal management, and EMC/EMI considerations.


- Optimize PCB designs for cost-effectiveness, size constraints, and performance requirements.


Testing and Validation :


- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for PCBs, including functional testing, signal integrity analysis, and thermal testing.


- Perform design verification testing and troubleshooting to validate PCB functionality and address any issues or discrepancies.


- Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing, collaborating with other engineering teams as needed.


- Implement design changes based on test results and :


- Document design specifications, guidelines, and procedures to maintain clear and comprehensive records for future reference.


- Generate and maintain detailed documentation of PCB designs, including schematics, layouts, and design constraints.


- Create and update documentation for testing procedures, methodologies, and results.


Collaboration :


- Work closely with Contract Manufacturers (CM) to ensure successful production (PCB fabrication, Component sourcing and assembly) of PCBs and timely delivery of prototypes and production units.


- Collaborate with Cross-functional teams such as HW, SW and FW engineers to understand system requirements and translate them into PCB design specifications to ensure seamless integration of PCBs into the overall product architecture.


- Provide technical support to other engineering teams during the development and testing phases.


Stay Current with Industry Trends :


- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to PCB design and layout.


- Stay informed about the latest advancements in PCB design, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.


- Propose and implement improvements to existing processes based on industry trends and technological advancements.


Other Skills :


- Product Family - product requirements, device descriptions and specification documentation, version control, component EOL forecasting and remediation.


- Support product R&D and innovation roadmap.


- Create HW cost estimates, budgeting inputs, expense tracking.


- Coordinate and collaborate with CMs and Component suppliers on production quality and compliance.


- Develop plans for HW :


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.


- Proven experience (5 years) in PCB design and layout, preferably in the consumer electronics or embedded systems industry.


- Proficiency in using CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).


- Strong understanding of PCB design principles, signal integrity, power distribution, and EMC/EMI compliance.


- Familiarity with industry-standard PCB fabrication processes and techniques.


- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a track record of delivering high-quality PCB designs on schedule.


- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment.


- Experience with design verification testing tools and techniques is a plus.


- Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design fundamentals is desirable.


- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.


- Ability to create detailed schematics and layouts.
