About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hardware Engineer with expertise in electronics design and embedded systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and developing hardware solutions for a range of applications, with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Embedded Hardware design and development, including understanding system requirements, creating functional specifications, and designing detailed hardware solutions.
  • Review product requirements, create technical specifications, and system testing requirements.
  • Ownership of the complete hardware development cycle (Design, Development & Testing).
  • Design and development, modifications of embedded systems around 8/16/32 bit microcontrollers, including Analog & Digital components.
  • Update and maintain detailed schematics, components library, BOM, and design documents for products.
  • Support sustenance activities, including component management.
  • Provide PCB layout design guidelines to PCB designers and maintain Gerber files.
  • Perform component selection for obsolescence and value engineering programs.
  • Provide detailed circuit analysis, Stress analysis, simulations, HW FMEA.
  • Preparation of test plans for the circuits designed or modified.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, debug firmware, and optimize performance.
  • Cross-functional interfacing to accomplish assigned tasks – with supply chain, Manufacturing, procurement, quality, regulatory, service, etc.
  • Follow internal hardware and firmware development processes and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

  • Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience. Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs, or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
  • University Degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience. OR An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience.
