Experience - 5 -7 years ( experience in either Java or Python or Both)

Big Data Experience - 2-5 Years - (Hadoop, snowflake, or Kafka)

Notice period - Immediate or maximum up to 30 days

Position Overview :


We are excited to offer a challenging opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing modern data management tools aimed at curating essential datasets, models, and processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying areas for process automation and driving efficiencies for a key customer.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop modern data management tools.

2. Curate and maintain important datasets, ensuring data quality, traceability, security, and performance latency across supply and demand processes.

3. Identify opportunities for process automation and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

4. Apply domain-driven design principles to develop complex business applications.

5. Utilize object-oriented programming skills in languages such as Python and/or Java to implement robust data solutions.

6. Conduct data manipulation, analysis, and modeling tasks to derive actionable insights.

7. Design and optimize relational and columnar SQL databases to support data storage and retrieval needs.

8. Communicate effectively with subject matter experts to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

9, Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in data Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computational field (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline).

2. Strong proficiency in object-oriented design and programming.

3. Previous hands-on experience in data manipulation, analysis, or modeling.

4. Deep understanding of data multidimensionality, curation, and quality aspects.

5. Familiarity with functional programming languages is a plus.

6. Proven track record of working effectively in a team-focused environment.

7. In-depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design principles.

8. General understanding of business processes and quantitative models.

9. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

10. Independent thinker with a strong work ethic and a drive for results.

11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

12. Ability to work effectively across global teams and simplify complex ideas.

Preferred Qualifications :

1. Experience in the Financial Services or Pharmaceutical industry.

2. Experience in distributed system design.

3. Familiarity with Pure/Alloy.

4. Working knowledge of open-source tools such as AWS Lambda, Prometheus, Spark, Hadoop, or Snowflake.
