Experience Requirement :

- 6 to 13 years of experience in Software Engineering, with a focus on Data and Big Data technologies.

- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining data engineering solutions with high scalability and reliability.

Core Skills :

- Experience in Data/Big Data Engineering Technologies :

- Proficiency in one or more Data/Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, HBase, HDFS, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, AWS services (e.g. Kinesis, Glue, Data Lake, Lambda, Redshift), Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Analytics, Azure services, Google Cloud Data Engineering Technologies (e.g BigQuery, DataFlow, DataLab, Dataplex, DataProc), etc.

- Hands-on experience in building and optimizing data pipelines for large-scale data processing and analytics.

- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and services for data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis.

Experience in Databases :

- Strong proficiency in at least one database technology such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MongoDB, etc.

- Experience in designing and optimizing database schemas, queries, and performance tuning.

- Knowledge of database administration and maintenance tasks, including backup and recovery, replication, and security.

Additional Requirements :

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL processes.

- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques for generating insights from data (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or R for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation, continuous integration, and deployment.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data issues in production environments.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and learn new tools and techniques as needed.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL workflows using Data/Big Data technologies.

- Implement data ingestion, processing, transformation, and storage solutions to support analytics and reporting requirements.

- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.

- Optimize data pipelines and workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation, cleansing, and normalization techniques.

- Monitor and troubleshoot data processing jobs and infrastructure to ensure smooth operation and timely delivery of data.

- Document design decisions, architecture, and implementation details for future reference and knowledge sharing.

- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (B.Tech/BE).
