Senior Manager Quality Engineering

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Quality Engineer who will play a central role in ensuring world-class quality assurance across all manufacturing lines. The ideal candidate will have strong command over automotive quality management systems, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA 6.3, and be capable of driving process excellence, customer compliance, and team leadership. This individual will lead audit preparedness, manage internal quality operations, and coordinate directly with OEM and Tier-1 clients.

• End-to-End QMS Implementation: Ensure plant-wide implementation of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Inspection Strategy: Lead the development and execution of incoming, in-process, and final inspection plans. Validate control plans and inspection standards.
• Audit Leadership: Prepare the plant for customer audits (VSA, TUV, VDA 6.3) and internal system audits. Drive NC closure and preventive systems.
• MSA & SPC Implementation: Conduct Measurement System Analysis (Gage R&R, calibration traceability) and implement Statistical Process Control for critical-to-quality parameters.
• Customer Complaint Handling: Take ownership of customer complaints, using RCA tools like 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys. Ensure timely and effective Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, and NPD teams for defect elimination and process stabilization.
• Quality Tools Expertise: Apply and train team in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, and Control Plans.
• Team Leadership: Supervise a team of inspectors and engineers, delegate responsibilities, evaluate performance, and upskill them through regular training.
• Digital Quality Reporting: Ensure real-time MIS, dashboard reporting, and traceability through barcoding, digital logs, and Google-based systems.
• 5S and Kaizen Champion: Drive 5S across departments with checklists, zone-wise implementation, and weekly audits. Initiate cleanliness campaigns and visual management.
• Sustainability & Clean Floor Practices: Lead initiatives for clean energy audits, EHS improvements, and floor restructuring to reduce waste and increase efficiency.

• 6–10 years of experience in automotive quality control, preferably in sheet metal, welded assemblies, or tool-based component manufacturing.
• Proficient in engineering drawing reading, GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and functional dimension validation.
• Excellent command over automotive QMS standards like IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 9001.
• Hands-on knowledge of PPAP submission, APQP documentation, process audit, and gage calibration systems.
• Familiarity with safety-critical components, inspection checklists, and traceability matrices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with OEM/Tier-1 QA teams.
• Technically sound and quick at identifying root causes and system failures.
• Strong leadership and discipline to implement procedures across operators and engineers.
• Experience in floor planning, process layout optimization, and lean methodology.
