Position Overview:

The Circle Security and Nodal Officer is responsible for managing Nodal functions, physical security, and employee safety within Bharti Airtel and its subsidiaries in the assigned circle. This role ensures compliance with regulatory frameworks, maintains robust relationships with government and law enforcement agencies, and implements comprehensive security and safety strategies to safeguard company assets and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Nodal Functions

• Nodal Operations: Lead and manage all nodal operations in the circle, ensuring adherence to regulatory and government frameworks. Act as the primary interface for law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and government bodies in accordance with telecom licensing requirements.
• Nodal Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with DoT (Department of Telecommunications), TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India), and other relevant regulatory directives. Maintain confidentiality and data secrecy as per legal and company standards. Prior experience with telecom or internet service providers and regulators is highly desirable.
• Relationship & Liaison Management: Develop and execute effective liaison strategies with government officials, TERM cells, DoT, and LEAs. Foster strong mutual relationships to facilitate smooth operations and regulatory compliance. Exhibit excellent communication and networking skills to represent the company professionally.
• Business Support: Leverage established relationships with government and enforcement agencies to support business continuity, facilitate ease of doing business, and resolve operational challenges promptly.

2. Physical Security & Employee Safety

• Strategy & Leadership: Design and implement a risk-based security program tailored to the circle’s unique requirements. Regularly brief senior leadership on emerging risks, security incidents, and mitigation plans to protect company assets.
• Security Operations: Oversee the deployment and maintenance of physical security technologies, including card access control systems, alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, and monitoring infrastructure. Lead major security projects ensuring timely and effective execution.
• Employee Safety: Develop and enforce circle-wide employee safety policies in collaboration with the Circle Safety Officer and National Safety Head. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and other safety audits, track and close non-conformities (NCs), and oversee incident management within stipulated timelines. Coordinate safety training programs and regular audits to promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is mandatory.
2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in nodal operations, security management, or regulatory compliance within the telecom or related sectors.
3. Age: Between 30 and 48 years.
