Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Performance Tester who possesses strong expertise in Apache JMeter and a proven track record in performance testing lifecycle ownership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, scripting, executing, and analyzing performance tests, as well as mentoring junior testers and supporting performance tuning efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Automation using Playwright with JavaScript

Performance Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)
  • Define performance test strategy, including objectives, approach, tools, and SLAs
  • Identify critical business flows and create workload models based on production data

Test Design & Scripting

  • Develop scalable and modular JMeter test scripts using advanced components and plugins
  • Parameterize and correlate scripts to simulate realistic user behavior
  • Prepare test data, environment configurations, and system readiness checklists

Test Execution & Monitoring

  • Execute Load, Stress, Spike, Endurance, and Scalability tests
  • Monitor performance using tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana, InfluxDB, or New Relic
  • Capture and analyze metrics such as CPU, memory, heap usage, GC activity, database performance, and thread utilization

Analysis & Tuning Support

  • Identify performance bottlenecks and suggest optimizations at code, database, or infrastructure level
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and DevOps teams to validate and retest performance fixes
  • Conduct root cause analysis for performance degradation, latency, and failures

Reporting

  • Generate detailed performance reports including average/max response time, percentiles, throughput, error rate, and server utilization
  • Document key findings, anomalies, root cause analysis, and recommendations
  • Present performance test results and insights to project stakeholders

Process Improvements & Best Practices

  • Drive continuous improvement in performance engineering practices
  • Establish and implement scripting standards, reusable components, and version control
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
