Role Title: Application Development Associate Advisor
Position Summary:

We are looking for an Associate Advisor who is experienced in Procurement and Finance applications. This role will require direct communication with business customers and partners. To be successful, excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

This role is within the Finance Technology Solutions team and will be supporting our critical enterprise procurement application SAP Ariba - which is leveraged for a vast majority of the companys indirect spend.

This role will be the system administrator for the Ariba platform and managing production support. This role will focus on troubleshooting issues, but also tasked with working with our business partners to understand scope, engage in enhancement requirement meetings, and then decomposing those requirements to define what our assets need to do to accomplish business and program objectives.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert content/professional leadership on complex Application Development assignments/projects.
  • Act as the principal designer for major systems and subsystems with moderate complexity, utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs.
  • Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit, IT management and staff on all phases of application programming and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server, software, hardware, technologies, and tools, etc.).
  • Work closely with client and IT management and staff to identify application development solutions, new or modified programs, reuse of existing code using program development software alternatives, or integration of purchased solutions or a combination of the available alternatives.
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective application programming solution.
  • May code new or modified programs, reuse existing code using program development software alternatives and/or integrated purchased solutions.
  • Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders.
  • Documents, tests, implements, and provides on-going support for the applications.
  • Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives.
  • Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Application Development but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business.
  • Recognized internally as a subject matter expert.

Required Experience / Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong influencing/negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal/relationship management skills.
  • Strong time and project management skills.
  • Candidate should have functional and technical expertise with cloud software.
  • Experience with finance applications such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle iProcurement, or similar application is required.
  • Experience with Reltio, Icertis, and/or Process Unity is preferred.
  • Candidates with knowledge of Python programming will be preferred but not required.

Experience, Education and Training:

  • 8-11 years of experience
  • A bachelors or masters degree in computer science/engineering, or similar majors
