B. About Your Role (NFP Focus)

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Associate – Tax to join our esteemed tax team. In this role, you will provide critical support to our U.S.-based financial operations, contributing to tax compliance and the delivery of accurate and timely reporting.

C. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state tax returns (1065, 1120S, 1120) for general contractors, subcontractors, and developers.
• Analyze percentage-of-completion (POC) and completed-contract methods for accurate tax treatment.
• Perform multi-state apportionment analysis and nexus determination
• Handle depreciation schedules and Section 179/bonus depreciation related to heavy equipment and fixed assets.
• Assist in preparation of K-1s, tax basis calculations, and reconciliation of book-to-tax differences.
• Communicate with U.S. engagement teams to resolve open items
• Strong experience preparing or reviewing Form 990
• Familiarity with Schedule A (public support test) and UBIT issues
• Experience with clients that receive government grants

D. Required Qualifications & Experience

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• CPA, EA, or pursuing is a plus.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in U.S. tax preparation for NFPs
• Ability to interpret U.S. tax laws as applied to contractors.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with GoSystem Tax RS or CCH Axcess
• Solid understanding and proven practical application of US GAAP accounting standards and methodologies.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Exceptional proficiency in written and verbal English communication, enabling clear and effective collaboration with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and adhere strictly to deadlines.

Preferred but not mandatory skills or experiences:

• Experience navigating state charity registration requirements

• Work Schedule: In-Office for Delhi, and Remote for good outstation candidates
• Nature: Full time
• Shift: 9-hour shift between 5 PM – 5 AM IST
• Location: Delhi, India
