WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As a Data Analyst at Lumosity, you will be responsible for generating insights, building dashboards, and supporting decision-making across acquisition, retention, and product performance. You’ll partner with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate tracking, high-quality reporting, and clear, data-driven recommendations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze customer acquisition, retention, churn, and transaction data to uncover insights.
  • Build, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
  • Conduct deep dives into structured and unstructured data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Support root cause analysis for metric changes and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with product and business teams to define, track, and measure KPIs.
  • Assist in A/B test design, feature evaluations, and campaign analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across reporting pipelines.
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to improve data quality and infrastructure (Snowflake, pipelines, BI tools).


WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 2–4 years of data analytics experience, preferably in consumer tech. Cohort analysis experience is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience in Snowflake (Postgres experience is also valuable).
  • Proficiency in Python for data wrangling, analysis, and visualization (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn). Familiarity with automation or text analysis is a plus.
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills for quick ad-hoc analysis.
  • Experience with BI/visualization tools (e.g., QuickSight, Data Studio, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and core statistical concepts.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
