Looking for a Freelance Data Engineer to join a team of rockstar developers. The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ yrs. of experience.

Company Background - We are a multinational software company that is growing at a fast pace. We have offices in Florida & New Delhi. Our clientele spreads across the US, Australia & APAC. To give you a sense of our growth rate, we've added 70+ employees in the last 6 weeks itself and expect another 125+ by the end of Q2 2025.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool), AWS cloud services, and Snowflake data warehousing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure to support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT to transform data in Snowflake.
  • Manage and optimize data storage and processing on Snowflake.
  • Work with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, and Redshift to support data workflows.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues ensuring data reliability and quality.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
  • Expertise in Snowflake data warehouse architecture and SQL.
  • Proficient in AWS cloud services relevant to data engineering (S3, Lambda, Glue, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of data pipeline design and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance.

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of other data tools like Airflow or Apache Spark.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation.
