General Summary:

  • Linux Kernel Device driver development
  • Knowledge on i2c, spi, uart, gpio, sdio drivers, flash driver, DMA, etc.
  • Knowledge on Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) concepts
  • Knowledge on Linux Operating System concepts and internals
  • Working in core Board Support Package (BSP)
  • Strong C programming skills
  • Debugging skills with JTAG/Lauterbach
  • Kernel upstream experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • OR Master's degree and 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • OR PhD degree and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Competency in the 'C' programming language

A good understanding of computer architecture and microprocessor internals; advantage to have understanding of ARM

Good at triaging stability issues

Ability to use a debugger (gdb, T32) for operations like setting breakpoints, single stepping, examining variable values, memory, and registers

In-depth Knowledge in Linux Kernel

Understanding of memory regions and their uses

Good knowledge of interrupts and their functionality in code

Awareness of Android high-level Architecture

Familiarity with scripting languages like perl and python

Good written and verbal communication skills
